For the leading German data management journal Datenbank-Spektrum, Prof. Dr. Holger Schwarz (University of Stuttgart) and Dr. Christoph Gröger (Robert Bosch GmbH) organized a special issue on the topic “Managing Data and Metadata in Complex Enterprise Landscapes”. |
Bringing together current works from industry experts and academic researchers, an interdisciplinary set of in total seven papers was accepted after peer-review. Five papers focus on technical and application-oriented aspects of complex enterprise landscapes covering components like data catalogs and data lakes as well as self-service capabilities. Two further papers focus on legal aspects and legal challenges of managing data in databases as well of data-driven business models.
